We hope this finds you in good spirits! After a good 2009 season, we grew out of our previous location in Creswell and went a-looking for a new site. This winter we found an excellent location waiting to become a sustainable community farm. We began moving in and planting seeds in March. Our new location is northwest of Fern Ridge just off Territorial Road, on 35 acres. Here, we have more room to continue growing delicious and nutritious vegetables, raise laying hens, and possibly establish favorites such as fruit trees and asparagus. The land comes with contours to guide us and ample infrastructure to start with. Seedlings are growing in the seed house we’ve constructed and will be well prepared for transplanting soon. Our chickens are getting used to a newer nicer coup and more room to graze.
