The farm crew have been back to work since early February. On the farm the two new greenhouses are finished and ready to comfort tomatoes all summer long, all varieties of early season seedlings are strong and some are about ready for transplant, and the fields are a patchwork of knee high cover crop and rich, brown crumbly soil sprouting direct sown roots like carrots and radish. Our experienced crew of six are really looking forward to growing you the most delicious, healthiest, and safest produce available. Over the winter staff took an even more in-depth in-person 16-hour Produce Safety Grower Training Course through the Oregon Department of Agriculture. We really do follow best practices and do our best to take care of all of you, whether there is a pandemic or not.
Thank you to those who have already invested in this season. Those early sign ups directly purchased seed and soil inputs and provided income for early season staffing. If you haven’t signed up yet online registration is open here.
Take care of yourselves, your family, your friends and community. We can’t wait until you get your first veggies!
With gratitude,
Farmers Amber & Jonah
